Biochar Workshop

Join the Komemma Cultural Protection Association, Center for Rural Livelihoods, Oregon State University Extension Service Fire Program, and friends for a FREE biochar production burn lead by Ryder Coen at Cha Tumenma on Sunday, December 1.

This introductory class will cover the basics of what biochar is and why it is a critical tool for forest restoration, agriculture, and carbon sequestration. Lunch will be served at 11AM and an Oregon style flame cap kiln will be set up, ignited, fed, and quenched, giving participants an opportunity to experience each stage with ample opportunities to ask questions.

More details, including the event address, will be sent upon registration.
